Hot vs. Cold Water Experiment

In this science experiment, you can visualize the difference in density between hot and cold water. Using the food coloring and a thermal infrared camera you can really see what is happening at the particulate level. To use this experiment for a science fair project, consider questions like: Does the temperature of the water affect the outcome? How do different liquids compare to water's reaction?
